Applus+ acquires Emilab, the electrical and electronics testing laboratory in Amaro

This acquisition is part of the Laboratories division’s strategic plan to increase its international presence in high-technological value sectors
Emilab has 19 years of experience and had revenue of 1.9 million euros

Barcelona, 3rd April 2017 – Applus+, a global testing, inspection and certification company, strengthens its portfolio of service to the electrical and electronic products sector with the acquisition of Emilab, a testing laboratory located in Northern Italy. 
This acquisition is part of the Laboratories division’s strategic plan to increase its international presence in high-technological value sectors. With this acquisition, the division increases its geographical coverage of electromagnetic compatibility, electrical safety and environmental testing services. 
The combined capabilities of both companies will enable the improvement and expansion of testing and certification services for manufacturers of electrical and electronic products. Applus+ also strengthens its position as a testing laboratory for automotive components and completes its range of accreditations in this sector.
Emilab has 19 years of experience in the market and a workforce of 15 highly specialized professionals. In 2016, the laboratory had revenue of 1.9 million euros. Emilab's customer base is diversified among sectors with a high growth potential.
